December 2018 Newsletter
Dear Esteemed Clients and Friends,
Another year has come to a close and hasn’t it gone fast!
It has been a year of volatility with markets having a great run until October and then correcting substantially. On all accounts, valuations are looking slightly more reasonable going into the end of the year and we expect volatility will remain elevated given the political impasse of the US/China trade pact as well as Brexit! We hope 2019 brings good tidings to us all and we hope markets move towards greater stability and consistency in the new year.
We would like to bring to your attention that your adult children, who are either in or about to go into full-time employment, have access to a comprehensive financial plan (Statement of Advice) from us at no cost. This is part of our promise to provide succession planning for the next generation. In order to do this well, we need to ensure that the next generation is well prepared financially in their own right and learn to manage their finances as part of their life journey. We have now had quite a few young adults seeking advice where we now provide ongoing planning and strategy. This is our commitment to you as our esteemed clients to ensure that the next generation manages their eventual inheritance well and preserves wealth for successive generations. Please speak to your children over the holiday season and we look forward to being of assistance in the new year.
Our Annual Christmas Party was on Thursday 29th of November and was very well attended. We were very lucky to have good weather, which had cleared up from the disastrous winds and flooding NSW faced the day before. Everyone also raved about the food on the night, as well as the amazing views overlooking the Opera House at the Inter-Continental hotel. We have put together (with our clients’ permission on the night to take photos) a collage for your viewing pleasure from the party.
Our office will be closed from the 24th of December (Christmas Eve) and reopen on the 9th of January 2019 (Wednesday).
Andrew and his family will be celebrating Christmas and New Years at the Gold Coast and hopefully enjoying good weather. David and his family will enjoy Sydney during this break. Rove´ and her family will also be enjoying Sydney during this break, having just come back from a month-long vacation in Europe. Gulzar and I will be off to Fiji on the 17th of December for about a week and will therefore be on leave from the 17th of December 2018 and back in the office on the 9th of January 2019.
We wish you and your extended families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Please stay safe during these holidays and we hope to see you all in the new year.
Warmest Regards
Aziz Meherali

Can you really lose weight just by walking? By Bella Fowler
I am one of those people who walks everywhere. If the destination’s under an hour away, I won’t even think about taking public transport or ordering an Uber. In fact when I moved to Sydney a few months back, my number one priority when looking for a place to live was whether it was walking ... Read more
