Hello from paraplanning. As many of you will have experienced here in Sydney, it is fortunate that we have had a taste of lockdown in the past. What has been impressive was the lack of panic-buying as people knew there was no need. Working away from an office has both advantages and disadvantages, but we are lucky to live in an age of high-speed internet. Don’t forget to set your home office chair for good posture!
Try online delivery of groceries if you have never done this before. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how efficient it is. Here is a hint from my experience with the Woolworths online ordering system. I imagine Coles would have similar functions. Save this week’s grocery choices as a favourite list. Then login at different times of the day to see if there are available delivery windows and select your favourited list. I find after 10pm is when they often become available. I put in my order on Sunday nights for a Wednesday delivery.
As we enter the 10th week of lockdown it is important that we remember to do the things that put our mental health first in these trying times. It is very easy to go for a short daily walk. Absorb the fresh air and stay attached to the world. But wear a mask, that is the simple reality for the foreseeable future.
I know personally my direct family of 6 people are now all already double-shot vaccinated. Given my parents and most of my siblings live in south-western Sydney it is comforting to know their risks are greatly reduced and we are prepared for when it is safe to come out again.
Now enjoy the warming weather like I certainly will.
